PEACE NOW !
- The Artist’s Voice
Exhibition by Peter Noever

European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut

Trinkhalle Bad Ischl / Austria, August 27 - September 17, 2024

Especially today, war is presented as a controllable instrument to which there is apparently no alternative. Artists who advocate the confrontation of free thought and other points of view are defamed or hushed up.

This extensive installation, situated in the Trinkhalle, Bad Ischl, Austria, on the occasion of the European Capital of Culture 2024 presents 28 positions / manifestos by the participating artists on the theme of peace, with posters designed especially for the exhibition which are available in a limited edition.

Contemporary Manifestos by key artists such as:

CALL: "Grant for Peace" – Celebrate and support the PEACE NOW ! exhibition and skywriting performance:

The skywriting performance brings an international message to the region, uniting the 23 communities of the Salzkammergut, symbolically brought together by a brief moment. A collective consciousness of the visitors and residents of the region is to emerge during this action and be perceived together. The project will be live-streamed and documented, encouraging cross-border calls for PEACE NOW !
